
This cookie is a real Swedish classic to enjoy with your coffee! This is the au naturel recipe but you can do endless variations on these.

Ingredients
- 1/2 Cup (100g) Room Temperature Butter
- 1/2 Cup (1 dl) Granulated Sugar
- 2 Tablespoons Light/Golden Syrup
- 1 Teaspoon Vanilla Extract
- 1 Cup (2 1/2 dl) All Purpose Flour
- 1 Teaspoon Baking Powder
Instructions
- In a big bowl, mix room temperature butter, granulated sugar, light syrup and vanilla extract.
- In a medium size bowl, mix all purpose flour and baking powder until evenly distributed.
- Add the flour mixture into the butter mixture. Mix until it becomes a grainy dough.
- Work with hands until dough comes together.
- Divide into three even pieces and roll them out into three long rolls with both hands.
- Place the rolls on a lined baking sheet and flatten each roll.
- Using the tines of a fork, form diagonal grooves along each roll.
- Bake at 350 °F / 175 °C for about 12 minutes.
- Let cool for about 2 minutes, and cut into diagonal pieces.
